Refurbished hotel in June 2018

The renovation of the apartment hotel Svartisen Apartments in Glomfjord was completed in June 2018. Vitar was overseeing the implementation of a new concept and was responsible for the renovation work. In 2007, the hotel renovated its ground floor and the initial idea was to focus on rentals to Glomfjord Industrial Estate, which became an instant success. Later, the focus shifted to also include tourism. Its proximity to the Svartisen glacier and, more recently, the now famous Fykan stairs, have given the hotel a sound position in the travel and tourism industry in Meløy, which is growing fast. Svartisen Apartments has the largest number of beds in the municipality and offers fully equipped apartments for shorter or longer periods at highly competitive prices.
